To keep your dates as fresh as possible for as long as possible requires minimal effort. There are multiple ways to keep them spoil-free for a long time. Ideally, you would want to refrigerate as quickly as possible after purchase especially if you want to maintain freshness for a long-term period. Another big thing to keep in mind is the difference in storing dry or soft dates.
Dry Dates
Dates like the Zahidi or Thoory are known as dry dates that can handle long-term storage outside of cold storage. Ideally, you can keep them in a cool dry place such as a cupboard. Make sure though that they are in a sealed container.

Soft Dates
Most dates are considered soft dates. Medjool and Barhi are what we carry and they must be stored in the refrigerator at 38 degrees Fahrenheit. It is also possible to freeze dates but it may affect taste.
